Action on knife crime in Birmingham

Local organisations in Birmingham are working together to reduce knife crime and make our streets safer.

Get support

You can report a crime via the West Midlands Police Report a crime service.

If it is an emergency, call 999.

If you feel unsafe, are worried about someone else, or feel under pressure to carry a knife, help is available – you do not have to deal with it alone.

Worried about someone else?

You may be concerned that someone you know is carrying a knife or getting involved in situations that could put them at risk.

The West Midlands Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) collaborates across the public, private, voluntary and community sector to tackle the root causes of violence affecting children and young people. They also offer training and resources.

If you’re worried about knife crime, concerned about someone’s safety, or want to talk about something you’ve seen, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously.

Fearless, the youth service of Crimestoppers, gives young people a trusted place to learn about crime and a completely anonymous way to share information. Find out about Fearless.
